Review of Reapers and Bastards: A Reapers MC Anthology (Reapers MC #4.5) by Joanna Wylde

Reapers and Bastards: A Reapers MC Anthology (Reapers MC #4.5)  by Joanna Wylde

Review: Although I was happy to get this book and read it. It was not anything really new or worth wild to the series. Most of the short stories are already in some of the Reaper books right now and the rest of the short stories were pretty uneventful and did not add anything to the overall plot of the two series nor to the characters either.

Although I will keep reading the series, I don’t think I will get anymore Novella’s for the series.

Summary: From the “New York Times” bestselling author of the “Reapers Motorcycle Club” and “Silver Valley” series comes an anthology of extras and never-before-released material, including a new short story featuring fan favorites Horse and Marie.

Charming Bastard: A Novella I first met Riley Boone when I was four years old. We moved to Callup, Idaho after my dad blew out his back and had to go on disability. Boonie’s family lived next to ours. Every afternoon he’d swagger off the school bus after kindergarten like a conquering king. For the first week he ignored me, until I impressed him by climbing nearly thirty feet up in the tree behind his trailer. They had to call the fire department to get me down, but it was worth it to see the respect in his five-year-old eyes. He gave me a worm in honor of my accomplishment. I fell in love. The next day he made me eat the worm and our relationship has been complicated ever since.

(Until now, this novella has been exclusively available in the paperback edition of “Silver Bastard.”)

Sticky Sweet: A Short Story Horse and Marie met for the first time in “Reaper’s Property.” Now experience this moment through his eyes. (Originally available on the author’s website.)

“NEW” Skunked: A Short Story Marie has some BIG news to share with Horse-news that will change both their lives forever….

“NEW” Sugar and Spice: A Short Story A prequel to “Reaper’s Fall,” this story features Painter and Melanie’s first meeting.

PLUS: Becca’s Huckleberry Pie recipe, Marie’s Bread recipe and Emergency Skunk Cleaning recipe.

Review of Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down (Vikings Underground #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon (Goodreads Author), Jaid Black, Melanie George

Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down (Vikings Underground #2)  by Sherrilyn Kenyon , Jaid Black, Melanie George

Review: I mostly just bought this book because it had a short story in it from Jaid Black’s Viking series. Now I know you are probably wondering about this weird Viking series I’m talking about. A long time ago I stumbled across a book just like this one that had 3-4 short stories in it from a couple of different authors. I ended up not at all liking the stories that I thought I would love and loving the two that I didn’t think I would. Jaid Black’s Viking one was one of them. Any who, she is a hard to get your hands on author but I found this book along with an actual book from the series a couple of days ago and dove right in.

Now I did not read the other two stories in this book because they just didn’t seem to my sort of thing. But I finally got to read more of this cool Viking story that has been on my mind for years now and I was so sad. It was not as good as I built it up in my head. I finished the story in an hour tops and had no real hope. The only thing I had wished for was that maybe the actual series was better and I just need to read it and it would be as good as I thought it would be. SO you guys will just have to wait for that review on that book coming up soon.

Summary: In this sexy erotica anthology, three hot authors reel you in with sizzling novellas about alpha heroes who will do anything to get the women they want — even kidnap them!

Bestselling author Sherrilyn Kenyon presents “‘Captivated’ by You,” the second sexy story in her series featuring the Bureau of American Defense. Rhea Stevenson is a “BAD” agent who has just been handed her most challenging assignment. She must go undercover as a dominatrix to bring in a deadly terrorist. The only upside is that her fellow agent, “Ace” Krux, whom she has long desired, is her training partner. Almost immediately the roles of master and slave are wonderfully blurred and Rhea and Ace unleash a wealth of hidden desire.

From bestselling romance author Melanie George comes “Promise Me Forever,” the story of Savannah Harper, who has finally put her breakup with pro-football player Donovan Jerricho behind her. But when Tristan comes home to Mississippi on the eve of Savannah’s wedding, he still wants her. And when he carries her off and holds her hostage, Savannah’s surprised to find that the desire’s deliciously mutual….

From Jaid Black comes “Hunter’s Right,” the fantastical story of Corporal Ronda Tipton of the U.S. Army, whose chopper goes down in the Arctic Circle. The only survivor of the crash, Ronda happens upon a hidden civilization of Vikings — where she must face the bridal auction block. Only Nikolas Ericsson, the man who found Ronda, can save her by claiming her as his own according to sacred rights. But will she and this primitive brute give in to the sparks made when their worlds collide?

Sensual and playful, these three novellas will carry you away!

Review of Leveled (Saints of Denver #0.5) by Jay Crownover

Leveled (Saints of Denver #0.5) by Jay Crownover51b7yJPB-wL__SX308_BO1,204,203,200_

Review: I had a lot of fun reading this book, mostly because I have always wondered about Remy’s boyfriend moving on after his death. I am so happy and please that Jay Crownover did a book for him and Dom, their book was very interesting to read. To me the best part was them together interacting with all of the other characters in the Marked Men series and the ones to come in the Saints of Denver.

Crownover does a great job going into detail about how Lando has a hard time being with Dom and is able to explain it so that readers feel his pain and fear. She is also able to make us feel the relief and happiness of him and Dom being able to move forward in their relationship.

I look forward to see more of them in the new series!

Summary: We all need a hero…let the Saints of Denver begin

Orlando Frederick knows what it is to be leveled by pain. Instead of focusing on his own, he’s made it his mission to help others: sports stars, wounded war vets, survivors of all kinds. But when Dom, a rugged, damaged, sinfully attractive cop, makes his way into Lando’s physical therapy practice, he might be the biggest challenge yet. Lando loved one stubborn man before and barely survived the fallout. He’s not sure he can do it again.

Dominic Voss is a protector. The police badge he wears is not only his job, it’s his identity, so when he’s sidelined because of an injury, the only thing he cares about is getting back on the force. He expects Lando to mend his body, he just doesn’t realize the trainer will also have him working toward a hell of a lot more. As attraction simmers and flares, Dom sees that Lando needs repair of his own…if only the man will let him close enough to mend what’s broken.

Ms. Manwhore (Manwhore #2.5)  by Katy Evans51tkI+X1CbL__SX326_BO1,204,203,200_

Review: It was nice to get to read this small novella about Rachel and Saint’s wedding. They were a lot of fun to read in their short two book series and always left me wanting for more.

This book was mostly a fluff ending to the one we already got in the second Manwhore series. But it was also able to add that bit of a spark here and there for another couple in the book. Which will be getting their own book in the upcoming future.

Review of Dream of You: A Wait for You Novella (Wait for You #4.5) by J. Lynn

Dream of You: A Wait for You Novella (Wait for You #4.5)  by J. Lynn51lFcIS9kwL__SX331_BO1,204,203,200_

Review: I was so happy to find out this novella was in print! I like to read novellas but mostly if I can get them in print. Me and my Kindle don’t always see eye to eye on books.

Although this was an extremely short book to read by J. Lynn, it was sad too. Mostly because everything in it seemed so rushed and put together. I get that novellas need to be short and can’t be full length books, but they still need to be well planned out.

The bright side of this novella is that we can see how it connects to the rest of the wait for you series. And that the two main characters are really cute together.

Review of Beautiful Beginning (Beautiful Bastard #3.5) by Christina Lauren

Beautiful Beginning (Beautiful Bastard #3.5)  by Christina Lauren18051336

Review: Oh my gosh! I completely love this book, just thinking of it now. I cant stop the smile from forming on my face.

This book was great from start to finish. Mostly because Bennett is pure evil and super funny. He plays the best prank on Will ever and even Hanna is in on it. The prank ( which I will not tell you about because spoilers), goes on throughout the small book. But is so funny that it feels as if its it’s own plot too. I kid you not, you will be laughing your butt off the whole time your reading the book, after the prank comes into play.

Review of Beautiful Player (Beautiful Bastard #3) by Christina Lauren

Beautiful Player (Beautiful Bastard #3)  by Christina Lauren17837783

Review: I could not start this book fast enough, but can you blame me? Nope!

This felt as if I was reading the series from the beginning all over again. Because this book starts off with some brand new characters that have not been heard of, or all that much of before. It was great!

I had a whole bunch of fun reading through Will’s point of view, and laughing my butt off as Hanna throws him through a loop after loop. And they were some great characters to mash up, because they were so different from one another.

The whole time it was as if Hanna took the lead and Will was left chasing after her in hysterics. I could not get enough of them or this book. I thought I would explode after I heard that they were getting their own novella! I really can’t wait to read it.

Beautiful Bombshell (Beautiful Bastard #2.5)  by Christina Lauren18051233

Review: Another short but fun read from the Beautiful Bastard series. Still though not the same as the full length books, but still good all the same.

It was fun to read more before the wedding between Bennett and Chloe, also great to hear from Max and Sara too. They are both very cute and sweet couples. I also loved the foreshadowing on Will’s soon to be future.

Review of Beautiful Bitch (Beautiful Bastard #1.5) by Christina Lauren

Beautiful Bitch (Beautiful Bastard #1.5)  by Christina Lauren18061771

Review: I was so happy to find this book along with the many other novellas in print at Powell’s books for this series. I could not and would not stop myself from reading them right away.

Although this was a very short and a bit lacking of the spark that is so easily found in all of the other Beautiful Bastard books. This one was able to pull of the sweetness between the two characters from the first book.

132 pages. Paperback.

Just when Chloe’s career starts to take off, Bennett wishes it would all slow down long enough to spend a wild night alone with his intern-cum-girlfriend. Preferably one in which he can show her he’s still the boss.

After her continued refusals to take time off with him, Bennett can finally no longer take no for an answer. And so the couple find themselves with two plane tickets, one French villa, and a surprising conversation that, predictably, leaves them wrestling under the covers.

Picking up where Beautiful Bastard left off, Chloe Mills and Bennett Ryan continue their fiery love-hate relationship . . . and take it to the next level.
