Fushigi Yûgi: The Mysterious Play by Yuu Watase
Review: I really fell hard for this manga because of the classic style it was drawn in. I mean really it’s just so beautiful. The legend that the author uses for the whole story plot is very complex and has a great deal of depth. But she does make it easy to follow as long as readers start from the beginning with her and follow along closely. If you start skimming or not really paying much attention to the plot it can get away from you before you even know it. The author also wrote another version of this plot/book, it does not follow these same characters. Its more like a prequel to this series, which you don’t have to read before this one. Although I do like this version of her plot and its characters, I’m not that big of a fan for how it ended. I favor the prequel version of this story called Fushigi Yûgi: Genbu Kaiden, which I have also reviewed Here.
