Top Ten Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday!

This is a new thing that I’m going to be doing on the blog, because I have seen it done on many others and I also thought it would be a fun way for my viewers to get to know me!

So, for this Top Ten Tuesday I will be talking about what is driving me nuts this week! Hahaha

1- I just finished Get Even, and I really think I’m losing my mind

That can’t be the end right!!!???

I stayed up late into the night to finish that book to find out who the killer was and came up with SO MANY ideas of who it could be! I really do think my ARC of the book is missing a couple of chapters.

2-I have the biggest stack of books to review I want to cry.

just wait till you guys see what I have to tell you about. some of these books were so great, but with them must come the awful too.

3- Divergent comes out on August 5th!!!

I can’t wait!!!!

THEO JAMES

4-Rogue By Katy Evans  comes out today. And I WANT IT!!!!!!!!

I keep getting teasers about this book and it really is killing me by not having it yet. I mean, with knowing how the book came to be and how Katy Evans is talking about it, I really just might die. It looks so intense.

5-I’m also trying to catch up on Grays Anatomy, and lets just say I finished season 8 and my ship died.

You know who I mean because really they were the BEST ship on that show!!!

The episode actually made me cry in front of my little sister. I never cry in front of her. NEVER. But I will just say this, “We are meant to be together!” That’s what he told her. Sob. Sob. Sob

6- I used all my money to buy Manga.

Need I say anything more?

7-The 69 book trick.

Yes, I did say 69. Stop smiling!

This trick is when you are not sure of a book you want to buy or read. You turn to page 69 in the book and read that page. If it has you interested, GET THE BOOK. If not, so long book.

It’s driving me nuts because it actually works.

And yes I got this from Tea Time

8-I think I’m going to die before I finish reading what I have on my shelves.

I have 4, yes 4 shelves full of books out in my office waiting for me to get to them. This is not counting the 2 in my room that stare at me while I sleep. It’s like they are talking to me, they keep saying read me! Read me!!!

9-Movie Reviews.

I have seven movie reviews to write up and post, which will soon be eight on Friday. I was just going to post one every Friday but that will take forever and not be current. So I’m going to post them as I feel like it. ( or when ever they get done).

10-I really wish I did not have a life.

I just want to be alone and read and work on my blog sometimes. People bug me a lot, but not the ones who talk good books with me, their ok. But I think every person who likes to read, just likes to be alone with their books for a while without people bugging them.

Manga Monday #4 Review of Fullmetal Alchemist ( FMA)

Fullmetal Alchemist by Hiromu Arakawa

 870

Volumes 1-27

Review: This manga is one of the one’s that is still talked about with excitement, even after years of being over. It will also be one of the one’s that will be watched and read for many years to come, because of the great artwork, plot and overall message in the story. The story is so overpowering that it brings anyone within distance into its orbit and compels them to fall in love with it. I was one of the ones that tried reading it when I first got in to manga, many, many years ago. But I returned the books because I didn’t like the first chapter of the story, which is a lie. I saw some of the old original anime on Adult Swim and hated it, so I returned the books and got other ones that I fell in love with. Although I always kept on eye out for the anime on TV, them a couple of years later I stumbled across Fullmetal Alchemist : Brotherhood when it first came out and on Adult Swim. Lets just say I have been hooked ever since. I even have all of the manga now, and have read all of it. Though I do think It had me thinking I was a goner when I saw what was in Ed’s pocket watch. Yup, that’s right, my birthday is in the watch! So it’s all true, this manga/anime was meant for me!

Anyway to the manga- Other then having one of the best story plots in like ever, that by the way no other manga has been able to copy or come close to! The story is able to fit in characters that blow you away with their back stories and how they are ALL able to play a part in the BIGGER scheme of things for Ed and Al. They also have great moments of relief ( comedy), this way readers wont be to overwhelmed by the sheer Awesomeness of the plot and story line. Some of the best characters in the series you don’t even get to see that often, such as Winry, izumi Curtis,  Sig, Lan Fan, Ling, Roy  and Maes . Which are most of the characters, oh and don’t forget Alex and his sister, heheh…..

SYNOPSIS:

Two is always better than one.

Knowing a fighter’s desires and needs are one thing, but actually experiencing them is another. A Fighter’s Desire gives you not one, but two stories full of hardcore passion, angst, and action that’ll leave you breathless and aching for more.

Part One: Ryley and Camden Jameson, well-known MMA fighters and identical twins, were just as aggressive and passionate in the bed as they were in the ring. They loved a good fight, and that’s exactly what they got when they met Ashleigh Warren. The brothers had a habit of sharing things—including women—and she happened to be the only one they truly craved. However, the problem was getting her to agree to their proposition. It was one she couldn’t refuse, but she knew it wouldn’t be easy to win. Nonetheless, she sure as hell was going to enjoy it.

Part Two: Fighting temptation isn’t easy when you’re constantly around the one person you’ve desired more than any other. Gabriella Reynolds was warned by her brother, MMA Heavyweight Champion Matt Reynolds, to stay away from his friends; they only wanted one thing, and in the end they’d break her heart. She heard it, but the desire to have the one man she couldn’t led her down the forbidden path to pursue him; he also happens to be one of her brother’s best friends. Tyler Rushing can’t deny his attraction to her, and he’s afraid she’ll want more than what he can give her. When he finds out that’s not the case … everything changes. They have no choice but to keep their time a secret, and it’s a secret that’ll stay with them forever.

Review of The Essence (The Pledge #2) by Kimberly Derting

The Essence (The Pledge #2) by Kimberly Derting

Review: I feel like the characters of this story are one of the only reasons I read this series still, that and I love Kimberly Derting. Though the contents of this book felt like it was all just filler and that nothing was really worth much attention. I have high hopes for the next and final book in the series, maybe it will pull me back into it as the first one did. ( sorry for the lame review)

Manga Monday #3 Review of Clover by CLAMP

Happy Manga Monday everyone!

This week I will be reviewing one of the many fabulous series by CLAMP!

Clover vol. 1 by CLAMP

volume 1-4

857309

Review: CLAMP is known for their out of this world story plots and artwork for all of their works, Clover is no different. Though the story is only four small volumes, it is able to leave a deep impact on anyone who reads it. It mostly leaves many confused about how the characters and the plot/world work together and come to a good ending, but the point of this manga is to be left wanting more. Because even when the story is over, you’ll feel like, Wait that can’t be it, can it???!!!! I felt and still feel the same way even to this day. The artwork and the sadness in it and the sadness woven into the plot is what keeps me coming back to it, because just like all of CLAMP’s work it haunts you. Till you get to that point that you read it so many times and every time it leaves/ gives you a different meaning from it. I still don’t fully understand what CLAMP was trying to show everyone with Clover. Were they just saying that they could make us feel this way? Did they just want to make one of the seven wonders of the world? Or are they just screwing with us and made this because it’s pretty???!!!

5 out of 5 stars.

The four-leaved clover.
I only want your happiness, knowing
I can never be yours to share it.

Review of Mila 2.0 (MILA 2.0 #1) by Debra Driza

Mila 2.0 (MILA 2.0 #1) by Debra Driza
mila2
Review: The book has a good start and ending but the middle is kind of boring. The best thing in the book is the strong female character and her hopefully soon-to-be-boyfriend.  The fight scenes were another part of the whole reason to keep reading the book. The cover art is another bonus because I mean look at that. Hopefully the second book has more of a plot and the characters get deeper in their depth.

Review of Clockwork princess (The Infernal Devices #3) by Cassandra Clare

Clockwork princess (The Infernal Devices #3) by Cassandra Clare clockworkprincess

Review: I finally finished this book. and I have to tell you guys, it was so amazing. It had some really great moments in it like Magnus Bane discovering GLITTER!! what could be better then that. There was also heartbreaking moments, when you feel like you have to stop reading the and take a break. which I know I had to do a lot, when reading. Then there is the ending, which makes you happy, angry, and sad all at the same time. Then you are left with that big gapping whole in your chest when your done reading the book and all you can do is cry and be like yeah, that happened.

Review of Hooked (Hooked #1) by Liz Fichera

Hooked (Hooked #1) by Liz Fichera hooked

Review: This was a GREAT book to read! No demons, vampires, wolfs, or ghost! YA! Its was just a normal everyday, type of romance. That I think a lot of teens can relate too. There’s as the whole golf part too… I have never read a book about golf before, so it was really cool reading about and how important it was at their school, and in their lives.  It also touches on another important issue, such as Native American, and how they are treated/seen at the school and in that town. In which is the same at a lot of high schools and needs to change.

4 out of 5 stars.

336 pages.

Young Adult.
